About Me

Credentials, skills and experience

Hi, I am Katie. I have a life-long interest in personal development, psychology and helping others and have worked with coaching clients across a range of life and career experiences. I am a qualified executive level coach through the world-class Barefoot Ltd, and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

I also bring a wealth of experience from a longstanding career in the public sector as a communications director, strategist and leader. I have held a number of leadership and consultancy positions, leading services and multi-disciplinary teams and am well versed in navigating complex organisations and high-pressure environments. Alongside working as a coach I work as an independent consultant specialising in communications strategy, engagement, campaigns and team development.

I am passionate about supporting purpose led organisations and have led on the creation of new charity to support disadvantaged young people, and been a mentor through the Girls Network.

Coaching has powerfully helped me navigate opportunities, challenges and setbacks in my personal life and career over the last ten years and in turn I have successfully used what I learned with friends, family and colleagues. Now I use that experience to help others to get to where they want to go.

I take a strengths based coaching approach, creating a protected space to explore and unlock your thinking.  In practice this means asking insightful questions, remaining curious, providing constructive challenge and drawing on a range of tools and techniques from the world of coaching and psychology to enable new perspectives.

My career experience means my coaching practice is underpinned by knowledge of the challenges and opportunities of navigating your career, working in leadership positions and effective communications.

I have a keen interest in living purposefully and wellbeing, and have read extensively on these subjects as well as psychology, leadership and personal development. I am happy to signpost clients to wider resources in these areas to support the coaching process.

In my free time I love to travel as much as I can (Majorca, India and Japan are favourites) and my happy place is by the sea. I live in Walthamstow, East London and enjoy the city and all it has to offer – particularly the food!
